Edinburgh...brrrr.....brrr....

Cold? Somewhat. 5-6 hours of riding in the train up to Edinburgh from Kings Cross station. We woke up at 330am on sat and set out of our home at 415am. Pretty unearthly start for the day but the first class train ride up compensated the lack of sleep to a certain extent. Bigger seats and less crowd, so it gave us the chance to have 2 seats to ourselves and stretch out a little so we could catch a decent nap.

Edinburgh, was a nice and cosy place...

Ba Zhang?

Leeds

12 Jan 2008 - Our first trip of the year, Leeds it was. Was a day tripper on the train early in the morning. Hardly any souls on the train up, I wonder why. Had a great time at the Armoury Museum. We both thought it was a unique musuem, one of a kind, as you travel back through history via looking at the collection of armoury equipment/gadgets.

Pineapple Tart Treat

5th January marked the FIRST BAKE of the year. Pineapple tarts were one of my favourite pastries mum used to bake, especially during chinese new year. I remember giving a helping hand on a few occasions.... I recall it was hardwork and it was still hardwork when I got round to whipping it up one evening for dave and myself. I used bottle caps to get it to as round a shape as I could. Not perfect but good effort I thought. Certainly, finger licking tasty.....
